About Me

I grew up around science. My father was a well-known microbiologist, and I spent many a school day off and summer afternoon hanging out in his lab playing with petri dishes and bunsen burners. I suppose I was destined to end up where I am today —  a physician — board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. I do have a special interest in preventative medicine, particularly diet and lifestyle based “medication” rather than pharmaceutical medication. Of course, I do prescribe medications when absolutely necessary, but I always tell my patients- my goal is to make you medicine free! There is nothing I like better than to STOP pills. Crazy to hear a doctor say that, right?

Hello, I'm Dr. Jenny

For those that want to know my professional training and experience, I was born in Durham, North Carolina and raised in Columbia, Maryland. I earned my medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2008. I completed my residency training in Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Rainbow Babies Hospital in Cleveland and University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. I was awarded the American Society for Clinical Pathology Honor Award, as well as honors in Internal Medicine and Surgical Clerkships. In 2012, I was honored as Outstanding Primary Care Physician by the University of Maryland, Department of Pediatrics. I have also worked at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and am currently at the St. Agnes Hospital, both in Baltimore.

I am board-certified doctor in Internal Medicine and also in Pediatrics, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American College of Physicians. I specialize in infectious diseases and preventive medicine.
